Mountain Lion Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a mountain lion / puma made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century during the original period. It was first designed by Kaerner and shows why he is so famous for his animal models! An amazing piece and quite large as well! The leopard is 5.25 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 16 inches long. The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the model number 560 impressed and a number 5. He is in perfect condition with some firing issues from when he was made which are common to these early pieces! They are all in the back with some tiny pimple type extra porcelain spots, a little firing flaw hole with the surrounding area white where the color didn't take and some tiny black firing specs. All this is from the making and he is still a first quality piece! And quite an amazing piece! The artist signed the piece on the back by his tail as shown which was only done early on and not on later copies. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1999
