Superb Polar Bear Figurine

This is an amazing figurine of a polar bear made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century right after WWII. Designed by Willy Zuegel - he is an amazing figure to look at. Amazingly modeled and painted just enough to look real. One of the nicer versions I have come across but these are not common at all! The figure is 8.5 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 6.25 inches deep. The figurine is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the number 392 and 9 as well as the artist name W. Zügel impressed into the back bottom edge which is very hard to see but is right next to the painter's initials in black. Green shield mark with the crown above and Nymphenburg underneath and Western Germany under that. Artist initials H.S. in black on the back edge. The piece is in perfect condition!
