Polar Bear

This is a figurine of a polar bear made by Nymphenburg during the early to mid 20th century. Designed by Willy Zuegel - he is an amazing figure to look at. Amazingly modeled and painted just enough to look real. One of the nicer versions I have come across but these are not common at all and quite hard to find actually! The figure is 8.25 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 5.75 inches deep. The figurine is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the number 392 and 7 as well as the artist name W. Zügel impressed into the back bottom edge which is very hard to see but is right next to the painter's initials in black. The piece is in perfect condition except for a couple of tiny black firing spots from when he was made - normal to their larger figurines. Quite fun to look at really! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1499
