Polar Bear

This is a figurine of a polar bear made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century right after WWII. Designed by Willy Zuegel - he is an amazing piece to look at. Amazingly modeled and painted just enough to look real. One of the nicer versions I have come across but these are not common at all and quite hard to find actually! The figure is 8.5 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and 6 inches deep. The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the number 392 over 9 as well as the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath and Western Germany. Artist name W. Zügel impressed into the back bottom edge. The piece is in perfect condition and quite heavy. Quite fun to look at as well! Some very minor firing issues mainly to the underside edge. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1499
