Penguin Figurine #3

This is a superb figure of a penguin made by Nymphenburg around in the early 20th century. A very hard to find superbly modeled and hand painted figurine that is just too cute. I do believe he is an emperor penguin and was designed by Guido Brunner - Baumgartner . The little guy is just a touch over 3.5 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 1.625 inches deep. He is not marked but I have another one from them that is identical and marked so there is no doubt. You can see the remnants of impressed numbers but they did not come out well for some reason which might explain why on later versions they impressed the mark on the inside tail.
