Pair of Court Dancers Figurines

This is a pair of court dancer figurines made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century - in 1960 for the one and 1956 for the other. Originally modeled in the 18th century by Frankenthal they were redone by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. Extremely well modeled with lots of detail that are often missing or damaged so it is amazing to find a pair in this condition! They were left in the white to show off all that detail! The lady has some bows and tiny flowers as well as that thin band of porcelain across her left shoulder. The gentleman has a lot of bows that still have all their loops. Both are dressed in poofy dresses and standing on a typical base for the 18th century when they were first made. The lady figurine is about 8.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. The gentleman figure is about 8.25 inches tall, 6.5 inches wide and 2.625 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark to the back of the base as well as underneath, model numbers 1212 and 1213 the usual other numbers and the blue mark showing it was originally a Frankenthal model with the year mark. The figures are in perfect condition with a firing crease in the neck of the gentleman which is glazed over and from when it was made. They display perfectly.
