Polychrome Apple Seller Figurine

This is a superb figure made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. It is the polychrome hand painted version of a lady with a barrel full of apples (or some other fruit) next to her and a small container in front of her maybe for the money she makes from selling the fruit. The lady has an apple in her left hand and is wearing a fancy dress and a hat. She is superbly modeled with tons of detail down to the little bows on her hat and dress and hand painted to perfection. The detail is amazing especially along the bottom of the skirt and the hat! The piece is 5.75 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark underneath as well as the impressed numbers 311 over 0. An old dealer label to the udnerside as well. There is another impressed shield mark to the front of that small pot in front of her. The figure is in superb condition with one of the loops of the bow on her hat being damaged. It is not obvious at all even on close inspection! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
