Muenchner Kindl Figurine

This is a figure of the Münchner Kindl made by Nymphenburg in the early to mid 20th century. The Muenchner Kindl (Munich child) has been depicted on the Bavarian coat of arms since the 13th century. The figurine is of a young child (originally it was a monk) wearing a pointy hat and flowing robe and holding a book in the left hand presumably a bible. The figurine is standing on a nice base with a small black and yellow checkered shield to the front. Not an easy to find piece and it's always sought after by collectors. A nice token to remember a trip to Munich by as well! The figurine has the impressed shield mark on the front bottom edge of the base as well as to the underside though that was partially ground away to make the figurine sit flat. Same with the model number which is now hard to read but should be 905. The piece is in great condition with a hard to spot small chip to the edge of the right sleeve. It displays perfectly! The figurine is 4.75 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 2.625 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $349
