Monk #2

This is a little monk figurine made by Nymphenburg in the beginning of the 20th century. He is holding maybe a letter in his hand but I am unsure what it is supposed to be. Superbly painted as is typical for Nymphenburg. Simple yet full of movement and elegance. He was originally designed by Bustelli in the 18th century. The figurine is 4.75 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. He is in perfect condition. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark highlighted in blue on top of the base and underneath with an impressed 6 under 87 as well as Western Germany. Also an impressed shield mark underneath. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
