Monk #1

This is a little monk figurine made by Nymphenburg in the beginning of the 20th century. He is holding a torch in one hand and a mirror in the other. Superbly painted as is typical for Nymphenburg. Simple yet full of movement and elegance. He was originally designed by Bustelli in the 18th century. The figurine is 4.75 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.125 inches deep. He is in great condition with two small and unimportant paint wear marks to the orange part. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark highlighted in blue on top of the base and underneath with an impressed 6 as well as Western Germany, Germany and the letter E. Also a very faint impressed shield mark underneath. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
