Louis 14th Figurine

This is a figurine I have not seen before. Originally it would have been made by Frankenthal in the 18th century but I have not seen that version either. This one here was made by Nymphenburg from the Frankenthal model in 1927. It is a very nice figurine and I suspect it is supposed to be Louis the 14th the Sun King of France. Sure looks like him or better a putto made to look like him. It is a very elaborate piece with lots of nice detail in the modeling as well as lots of handpainted detail. The figurine is 7.75 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. He is in good condition with a few minor flaws - the biggest being a chip to the front of his coat on the right bottom edge of the right side. Then there are three tiny chips - one being to a button, two to his sword one to a ruffle of his sleeve and a tiny spot of paint loss to the back of his coat. Now all these are not obvious and one has to look for them quite hard in most instances. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath as well as the underglaze blue CT under a crown with the year mark 1927 underneath. Also the impressed numbers 1235 and 3. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
