Lemon Finial Floral Tureen

This is a superb lidded terrine / tureen made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century right after WWII. It has a stunning shape with two handles, lots of gold trim on scroll work, sits on four feet and has four large amazing hand apinted floral arrangements on it. Two on the lid and two on the main body. A few small flowers scattered about but my favorite thing about this piece has to be that partially sliced lemon finial! A truly superb piece! The floral design and quality is really superb on this piece! Too bad it is not an 18th century piece :( The main body is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, impressed letter D, some puce letters and numbers as well as the green shield mark with Nymphenburg underneath and Western Germany as shown. The piece is in perfect condition which is an added bonus! The terrine and its lid are about 7.5 inches tall, 11 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep.
