Large Rider on Horse w/Dogs

This is a large figure of a Hunter riding his horse with two running dogs by his side made by Nymphenburg in the early to mid 20th century. A superbly modeled piece with lots of detail hand painted to perfection that almost puts you right in the middle of the hunt. The hunter is wearing a red jacket with a sachel over his shoulder while holding the whip in one hand and the reigns in his other. The horse's face is just amazing as are the two dogs and the green and grey base with the gilded scrolls along the base finish off this superb figurine. Larger than most of the pieces from this grouping it was remodeled by Nymphenburg from an old Frankenthal model around 1924 by Goehring and is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as the numbers 183 / 1 over 2. The figure is 12.25 inches tall, 10.75 inches from the back to the front and 7 inches deep. Amazingly the piece is absolutely perfect. No condition issues at all!
