Large Rearing Horse Figurine #2

This is a really nice figurine of a rearing stallion made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century right after WWII. Designed by August Göhring in about 1930. This is a large figurine compared to the small rearing figure they also made and not a common model either. It is superbly modeled and hand painted to look amazing. I really think that Nymphenburg animals figures are the best in the porcelain world. Stunning the way it stands on just the hind legs with the tail supporting it on a small base with the legs sticking out the front. The figure is 9.25 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and about 7.125 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed and colored in blue shield along the side of the base, incised A. Göhring to the other side of the base, another impressed shield to the underside with the model number 738b over 8 and green shield mark under a crown with the name Nymphenburg under it as well as Western Germany under that. The figure is in great condition with two small manufacturing flaws to the top of the base from when it was made and quite typical of their larger figures. It displays perfectly!
