Large Hunting Group Figurine

This is the rare center piece to the " Nymphenburger Jagd " group of figurines made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. There are quite a few figures to this hunting group but the center pieces one never sees so I was excited to find it! I ahve the other large center piece as well on the site. The large figure includes a dead stag deer on the ground that was cut open through the belly, a hunter standing on the base next to the deer with a cut off leg in his hand, another hunter kneeling on the ground with a knife in his hand, a hunter riding his horse with a yellow hunting horn over his shoulder as well as two hunting dogs standing on the base. The base has a green and black color to it with lots of relief detail and some applied grasses and green flowers. Gilded scrolls all around the bottom edge. As nice a figure as you will find from this set with an amazing amount of detail to it. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as the number 141 / II over 2 as shown. The figurine is about 9.75 inches tall, 11 inches wide and 9.25 inches deep. It is in great condition with three pieces near the bottom of the stag's antler's having been reglued. No other issues at all! Considering the size and age of the piece it is in remarkable shape and displays perfectly. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1999
