Large Horse Figurine

This is a nice figurine of a rearing stallion made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. Deisgned by Goebl in 1935 this figure here dates from around this time. It is superbly modeled and hand painted and one of the harder to find horse models they made. I really think that Nymphenburg animals figures are the best there are in the porcelain world. Stunning the way it stands on just the hind legs with the tail supporting it on the large oval base. The figure is 10.5 inches tall, 5 inches wide and about 11.5 inches long so a nice size. It is marked with the impressed and green shield mark with the name Nymphenburg under it as well as the model number 799 and 1 as shown. The figure is in greatt condition with a small mark from when it was made on his top right back side as well as a ground down flaw to the tailand some lighter marks to the top base both also from when the piece was made. Unglazed areas to the front legs underside where they attach to the body - there would ahve been firing supports attached here wheich were then removed after the firing process. That is normal! It displays perfectly! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
