Large Cockatoo Figurine #2

This is a really fun large figurine of a cockatoo made by Nymphenburg around the early to mid 20th century. The polychrome bird is perched on a cherry tree branch with some leaves and fruit as well all on a base with some scrolls all around highlighted in puce. This is the version with the yellow feathers which I prefer of the purple ones. I also have its mate on the site as well if anyone would like them as a pair. The figure is nicely modeled and hand painted to perfection. Lots of nice detail and large anough to look great on your mantle. One of those pieces that just make you happy when you look at it displayed in your house! The figurine is in great condition with damage to three leaves which are not obvious at all and it displays superbly! The piece is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 448 over 6 and the green shield mark under a crown with Nymphenburg underneath it as shown as. Also another impressed shield mark to the back of the base in the scrolls. The piece is 13 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide and about 5.5 inches deep.
