Putto as Venus Figurine

This is a hard to find polychrome version of this figurine of the goddess Venus made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. An easily identified goddess with a flaming heart in one hand and a torch in the other. Nicely modeled with lots of details - wearing a striped cloth covering her mid section. A shield and sword by her feet. Standing on a typical base. Hand painted to perfection. Originally modeled by the famous Bustelli and it is an incredible piece! The figurine is 4.125 inches tall, 2.875 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. The figure displays nicely but has damage to it. The green leaves of the rose in her hair are gone and a part of the yellow bow that is holding the cloth in place is broken off as shown. The gold star in the front of her head is chipped as well. She displays perfectly since the damage is minor and not obvious at all when on display! The piece is marked underneath with the impressed numbers 491 over 0 and the shield mark as shown. There is also an impressed shield on top of the base by the shield as shown in the pictures. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
