Mother with Child Figurine

This is a really fun and quite rare figurine made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. I tend to think it is a young mother with a child or a girl with her sister but in reality she fits in with more modern times and is supposed to be a nanny with the child she is watching and the cat snuggling up to her legs. Superbly modeled by Resl Schoeder-Lechner and hand painted to perfection. Perfectly fitting in with the Nymphenburg style I love so much! A stunning and fairly modern mid century figure . Very elegant as is the norm with Nymphenburg pieces. The figurine is 8 inches tall, just under 3 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark on top of the front base as well as underneath and impressed numbers 2085 over 0 as well as the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath.
