Polychrome Gentleman Figurine

This is a figure of a gentleman made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. He is elegantly dressed in a long coat with a nice striped design to it, a big fluffy shirt showing in the center top of the coat while holding a hat in his right hand and a handkerchief in the left. Typical base for this period with a bit of pink trim to the edge. He is really looking sharp and ready to go on a hot date! I am not sure who modeled this figure as I cannot find it in my books and could only find one other which did not help any. I think he has the look of a Josef Wackerle piece but I might just be imagining things. Definitely a rare model! The figure is 8.375 inches tall, 3.625 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark to the front of the base as well as to the underside , the impressed numbers 917 over 3 and the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath. The figurine is in perfect condition which is always a plus. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
