Funky Duck Figurine #2

This is a really fun figurine of a duck made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century. This is a very rare model that I believe is one of the few also made in majolica though I am not totally sure. I have only seen a handful of these over the years if that. Nicely modeled in a very modern kind of way with superb coloring. Standing on a rock with a wave hitting the rock in the front. I am not sure who modeled this piece but it might have been Terletzki-Scherf since she liked the crazy animals :) The bird is 10 inches tall, 7.5 inches long and 4.75 inches wide so rather large. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath the base as well as the impressed model number 971 / a and the number 8. There is also the green shield mark under a crown with the word Nymphenburg underneath as as shown. The piece is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1499
