Foxhound Dog Figurine

This is a rare figurine of a Foxhound dog made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century right after WWII. It was first designed by Konrad Schmid since his initials are underneath but I could not find another example so I am not sure when exactly he first designed this one. Likely in the 1920s when he did a lot of dog models. His models and those of his coworker Kaerner are still the best models of dogs and other animals out there today I believe! The figurine is superbly modeled and hand painted. A very sleek looking dog and the coloration is superb. Lots of detail to it!. He is about 6.5 inches tall at the tail, 2 inches wide and 7.5 inches long. The figure is marked with the impressed number 671 over 11 (I think) as well as their green shield mark with Nymphenburg under it and Western Germany under that. Artist initials that are hard to see impressed into the underside. He is in perfect condition which is somewhat surprising given that the tail sticks straight up. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
