Peacock Tail Dove Figurine #2

This is a fun figurine of a peacock tail dove or pigeon made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. A superb bird figure that is extremely nice to look at on display. Rare to find them in perfect condition and painted. The piece was designed by the famous Luise Terletzki-Scherf in 1953 whose animal figurines are highly collectable. Her initials are impressed in the front right corner of the base. It is a really nice bird figurine and one can easily see where their name comes from! Superbly modeled with lots of hand painted detail makes it one elegant piece! It is marked with the impressed shield mark to the one back corner of the base as well as on the underneath, the numbers 962 over 0 as well as the green shield stamp with the word Nymphenburg underneath. The dove is about 5.375 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep.
