Blanc de Chine Falcon Hunter Figurine

This is a figure of a falconer made by Nymphenburg in the early to mid 20th century. It is of a hunter holding his falcon in one hand and the little feather on a string piece in the other he uses to bring the bird back to him when it is flying around. The figurine is superbly modelled with lots of detail including a fancy jacket, a hunting horn and a bag while standing on a nice base with a small tree stump on it. Left in the white to show off all that detail! The figurine is 8.875 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath the base, an impressed number 536 over 7 as well as the green shield mark with the name Nymphenburg under it as shown. The figurine is in great condition with the loop of the string in his left hand missing the center section as well as a few small manufacturing imperfections such as tiny black firing spots and a tiny extra blob or porcelain. It displays very well and the little bit of string missing does not distract from this very nice figure. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
