Bunnies Fighting over Carrot Figurine

This is a really cute figurine of a pair of bunnies made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century. The rabbits are either sharing or fighting over a carrot depending if you are a glass half empty or full kinda person :) Superbly modeled and and hand painted. The black bunny is sitting on its hindlegs with the front ones raised off the abse while the gold bunny is sitting on all fours. The base is quite typical for the figurines designed by this artist and make for a happy looking piece. Perfect for the hippy of the time :) The black color is matte instead of shiny which I always like and contrasts the shiny gold perfectly. Not a figure you come across too often. The base is signed LTS on the front center for the famous Luise Terletzki - Scherf so you know it is a superb piece as she was one of the top artists of the time! The figurine is 2.625 inches tall, 3.875 inches wide and 2 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the number 2032 over 8 underneath it sd well as the green shield mark under a crown with the word Nymphenburg under it and some black artist marks as shown. The figure is in perfect condition. The gold "fur"looks like it is worn in places but it was done on purpose to make it look like fur rather than just gold paint. It is this attention to detail that makes Nymphenburg one of the top makers out there! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
