Baby Hippo Figurine

This is a superb and quite hard to find figurine of a baby hippopotamus made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century right after WWII right around 1956 when it was first designed by August Goehring. The hippo is superbly modeled and painted to perfection. The yes are left open which really makes them look superb. It's a trick I ahve seen on a few of their figurines and it works very well. The little one goes perfectly with the grown up version I also have on the site :) The figure is 2.875 inches tall, about 2.625 inches wide and 5.25 inches long. The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath with the impressed model number as well as the green shield mark with the name Nymphenburg and Western Germany underneath it. The hippo figure is in perfect condition. An amazing piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
