Commedia Dell'Arte Leda Figurine #2

This is a superb figurine of Leda made by Nymphenburg in the late 19th or early 20th century right they were first remade after the original 18th century models. She is one of the commedia dell'arte figurines - one of the greatest set of figures ever designed by the famous Bustelli who made the best porcelain figurines ever! Not easy to find in the painted example in great condition! Superbly modeled with a nice pose and lots of detail - puce skirt with a nice pattern to it, yellow blouse with blue trim and a rose in her hair with its leaves. She has a bow around her neck and in the middle of her chest as well as one around her left sleeve. Simple yet elegant base typical for this series with a bit of gold trim. The figure has the impressed shield mark to the top of the base under her skirt just in the white area as well as underneath and the impressed number 85 over 0 as shown. Hard to see Germany in green. The figure is in superb condition with chips to the leaves of the rose in her hair. All the fingers and bows are intact which is not an easy thing to find! The figure is 7.5 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 4.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
