Commedia Corine Figurine

This is a figurine from the Commedia dell'arte aka the Italian Comedy series made by Nymphenburg in the late 20th century. These were first modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli, regarded as one of the best porcelain sculptors, in about 1760 and are still as popular as ever today! And one can see why with the superb and lifelike poses and great attention to detail! This figurine here is Corine, a servant girl, whose partner figure is Anselmo who I also just addded to the site. Corine is reading a letter to Anselmo - probably some saucy or secret details since he is trying to have her keep her voice down. The figurine is superbly modeled with lots of detail and looks stunning. The figure is in perfect condition. I have not owned this figurine before so it was a nice find for me. The piece is about 7.5 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 3.875 inches deep. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark on top of the base under her skirt as well as another impressed shield mark underneath and impressed number 105 over incised number 35 as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
