Bustelli Boy Bust

This is a bust of a child (believed to be Friedrich August der Starke aka Frederick the Strong) modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli and made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. It is marked on the side of the base with the impressed shield mark - fairly sure there is another mark underneath but I am not taking it off its lamp base. The porcelain part is 9.25 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep. The porcelain is in superb condition. The front of the base has three cut out holes. It is a nice touch! The black wooden marbilized base is 5.5 inches tall and 5.75 inches square. The metal piece of the lamp above his head is 8.25 inches tall. The cloth wiring has been cut so it needs to be rewired. There is a large piece of lead underneath as a weight so it does not tip over. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
