Bustelli Boy Bust Figurine

This is a bust of a child (believed to be Friedrich August der Starke aka Frederick the Strong) modelled by Franz Anton Bustelli and made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. The figure is superbly modeled and left in the white to show off all that detail. The jacket with the shirt coming out from under it is amazing. It is marked on the front of the base just under the little openings with the impressed shield mark and again with the impressed shield mark to the underside along with the model numbers 928 over 0 is underneath. The figurine is 10.25 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The piece is in perfect condition. The front of the base has three cut out holes. It is a nice touch and helped with the firing process! I think he and his matching sister are the nicest busts in the porcelain world. Extremely well done and very elegant and decorative.
