Borzoi Dog Figurine

This is a figure of a Russian Wolfhound or Borzoi made by Nymphenburg right after WWII. He was designed by the famous Theodor Kaerner whose models of animals are the best in the porcelain world. This piece has the perfect pose for this breed! The figurine is 4.75 inches tall, 5.125 inches wide and 11.125 inches long. Marked with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 438 over 8 as well as the green shield mark with the name Nymphenburg under that and Western Germany under that. There is a painter's mark at the bottom edge of the back of the figure as shown. It is in perfect condition amazing considering the one outstretched leg in front.
