Figural Open Salt

This is a neat figural dish made by Nymphenburg in 1970. It is from an old Frankenthal model which I have not seen. These are usually sold as salt dishes but I think they might be invalid feeders or medicine spoons. It is modeled very nicely in the shape of a man steering a boat with a dolphin acting as the rudder. One of my favorite small pieces! The dish is in perfect condition and marked with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 1329b over 17 as well as the Frankenthal mark of CT under a crown with the year mark 1970 in underglaze blue. The piece is about 3.375 inches tall, 1.875 inches wide and 4.75 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
