Dogs Taking Down Boar Figurine

This is a rare figurine of a boar being taken down by three dogs made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. Not a figure you see often at all and aprt of their hunting series of figurines. Here we have the wild boar / pig being attacked by three dogs. One dog has been run over by the boar while another is biting him in the top of the neck and the third dog is still chasing him on the side. All standing on a typical base with some scroll work in relief. A very nice piece with lots of detail to it and left in the white to show it all off. A really well modeled piece! The figurine is in great condition with the end of the tail of the chasing dog missing but because of the placement it is very hard to spot and displays perfectly! The figure is 3.25 inches tall, 8.125 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed shield mark on top of the base by the boar's tail as well as underneath with the model number 138 over 9 incised.
