Blue & Yellow Parrot Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a parrot made by Nymphenburg around the mid 20th century. I believe it is a blue yellow macaw but could be wrong. Either way it is a great piece that is well modeled and painted and just fun to look at! The bird is sitting on a tree trunk which is growing out of a nice base that looks like a flower pot of sorts. Tail up in the air which is an unusual position. The figure is in perfect condition which is amazing given the fragile nature of that tail! It is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, the numbers 719 over 8 and the green shield mark under a crown with Nymphenburg underneath it as shown as. The piece is 8.25 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and about 3 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
