Blanc de Chine Priestess Figurine

This is an amazing figurine of a priestess made by Nymphenburg in the beginning of the 20th century. I have owned the colored version once before but it is a rare model to find for sure. This figure here is the blanc de Chine version left in the white to show off all that amazing modeling that Bustelli did on his figures in the 18th century . He was amazing! The lady is kneeling down in front of an offering container with smoke coming off it. She is wearing a flowing robe that hides most of her body and hands with a nice bow tied to the front. She has an interesting head covering as wel. All on a typical base for these early figures. A truly superb piece! His modeling details are by far the best in the porcelain world which explains why Bustelli is still consdered the greatest modeler of all time. She is 4 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 4.75 inches long. The figurine is in perfect condition and is marked with the impressed shield mark on top of the base and underneath as well as the impressed numbers 182 (I think) over 3 as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
