Blanc de Chine Mars Figurine

This is a figurine of the Mars made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. An easily identified god with the shield and drawn sword afterall he is the god of war. The putto is wearing armor including a helmet with some feathers on top while standing on a typical base. The shield has the symbol for Mars in the center which happens to be the male symbol as well. A really nicely modeled figure with lots of detailto it and left in the white to show off the superb modeling better. Originally modeled by the famous Bustelli and it is an incredible piece! The figurine is 4.375 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 3 inches deep. He is in perfect condition which is always a plus! The piece is marked underneath with the impressed numbers 255 over 10 and the shield mark as shown. There is also an impressed shield on top of the base behind him as shown in the pictures.
