Asian Monk w/ Mirror & Torch Figurine

This is a figure of a small monk made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century - right after WWII. It is from a series of monk figurines that I have quite a few of and I display them together in my office. Just superb looking! They were originally modeled by the famous Bustelli and he did an amazing job on these! Very elegant and full of movement. Left in the white to show off all the details in the porcelain. The figure here is wearing the typical flowing robes with a bow in the center while holding a mirror in one hand and a torch (I think) in the other. The figurine is 4.625 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark underneath and impressed numbers 388 over 3 and Weatern Germany in green. Also another impressed shield mark to the top of the base behind his foot. He is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
