Asian Tea Drinker Figurine

This is a figurine of a Asian gentleman having tea made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. He is often described as a Turk and sometimes as an Oriental but with a beard and braid like that I would definitely say he is Asian! The gentleman is relaxing against a rococo ornament on a rococo base with flowers strewn all around. He is wearing a flowing outfit and has a small tea cup in his right hand with a larger teabowl next to it. It's a relaly nicely modeled piece left in the white to show off all that amazing detail. Originally they were off course modelled by Bustelli in the 18th century. This also comes in a painted version though one rarely ever sees it. A really fun piece that is stunning and elegant looking. The figure is 4.75 inches tall, 5.375 inches wide and 4.625 inches deep. It is in great condition with the index finger of his left hand mostly missing and a chip to one of the leaves on the base. It displays nicely! The figurine is marked with the impressed shield mark to the top side of the base under the place where the cups sit and underneath as well as the impressed numbers 192 over 3.
