Art Nouveau 4 Season Figurine - as is

For sale is a really superb figurine from the series of the four seasons made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. A little Art Nouveau, a little Art Deco and full blown Mid Century Modern or Eames era is what makes this figure just stunning. It was designed by Johanna Künzli who trained in Munich under the famous Josef Wackerle himself. You can see his influence in these pieces but she definitely had a style her own. This is of a boy playing the pan flute meant to invoke Spring. The piece is 8.5 inches tall, 2.375 inches wide and 3 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed shield mark to the front of the base as well as underneath and the model number 980 over 3 impressed as well as the green shield mark with the name Nymphenburg underneath and some black numbers as well. The figurine displays perfectly but upon close inspection one sees the head was cleanly broken off and reglued. Impossible to spot when displayed! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $149
