Sitting Monkey Figurine

This is a really cute figurine made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century right after WWII. It is of a monkey that is sitting in a typical pose. The figure is modeled superbly and hand painted to perfection. It was originally designed by Theodor Kärner. The figurine is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark as well as numbers 191 over 4 as well as the green shield under a crown with the name Nymphenburg under it and Western Germany dating it to right after the second World War. Also signed by the artist in the back bottom DP in white. The piece is in perfect condition. The figure is 5.25 inches tall, 2.125 inches wide and 3 inches deep.
