Blanc de Chine Vase w/ Applied Flowers

This is an interesting and fun lidded vase made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. Instead of being painted by hand as most of their items would have been this one has applied 3D flower garlands that go all around as well as a nicely reticulated top rim. The lid is also reticulated along the rim and has a nice rose bud flower finial with two leaves. The flowers are amazingly well done with lots of detail - one could only imagine how long it took to make them all! They are superb! The vase is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, an impressed number 881 over 1 as well as their green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath it. The piece is in superb condition with a few damaged petals as shown. Very few and the damage is always minor. Maybe five or six damaged leaves/petals in all. Much less than would be expected and the piece displays perfectly. The vase with the lid in place is 12.25 inches tall and about 6.25 inches in diameter. The vase comes with an Asian wodd stand that stis on 5 feet as shown. It suits the vase and looks great together. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
