Nove Scenic Single Cup

This is a rare cup made by Nove in the 18th century. Nove was founded in 1752 (well at least the porcelain part of it) by Pasquale Antonibona. He was helped by the Ex-Meissen worker Sigismund Fischer. After a few changes in ownership, etc. it finally closed in the 1830's. The piece is handpainted with a superb scene in the front of a couple in a landscape surrounding with a fancy scroll work trim around the scene. Similar trim around the sides of the handle as shown. These pieces are rather hard to find! The cup is in perfect condition with some minimal wear to the gold ring around the top edge of the cup. The cup is marked underneath with a red star mark as shown. The cup stands 2.5 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
