Naples Gold Design Sugar Dish

This is a nice lidded sugar dish made by Naples , Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea , in the 18th century. Not a maker one finds pieces from very often and it's not the most exciting piece ever but it looks great and is in superb condition! The entire main body and lid are hand painted with a fancy gold design and it sits on three claw or lion paw feet that are gilded as is the finial. Even the inside of the main body has a little gold design to the top part. It's a great looking piece and a rare survivor. The dish and lid are in superb condition with just a touch of very minor wear to the gilding. It is 4.875 inches tall including the feet and finial with a diameter of 3.625 inches. The lid is a tiny bit bigger in terms of diameter and the feet stick out a tiny bit from the edge as well. The main body is marked underneath with the crown over N mark in under glaze blue. Hand painted mark! Some incised marks to both pieces. I also ahve the matching creamer which I will list separately if anyone is intersted in a rare set. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
