Naples Lady Figure

This is a very rare figurine made by either Naples (Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea) , Buen Retiro or most likely I think by Nove di Bassano founded by Pasquale Antonibona in 1750. He began making porcelain around 1752. This piece probably dates to around 1775. It is of a country woman that is modeled superbly and painted simply yet elegantly. She is wearing a pink dress with a white apron and has her head covered with a cloth. Quite the rare figurine! The figure is in good condition with her right arm broken off and reattached, missing fingers on her right hand, a crack in the base and the tree had leaves/ branches I think at some point which are missing and the stumps ground down to hide that fact. One branch must have gone to the back of her right shoulder and there is some damage there from the leaves being removed. The piece displays nicely! It is unmarked but that is not uncommon. The piece is 9.625 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $4999
