Naples Commedia Cup & Saucer

This is a nice cup and saucer made in the 19th century as a copy of an 18th century sofpaste design. It is nciely handpainted with a commedia dell'arte scene on the front of the cup including two characters as well as a landscape scene with a building in it and a dwarf playing the violin in the center of the saucer. Nice gold trim to both! Wish it was a softpaste piece I would have kept it forever :) The set is in great condition with a rim chip to the saucer as shown. The cup and saucer are marked with the underglaze blue RF mark under a crown as shown. The cup stands about 2.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is about 5 inches in diameter.
