Mottahedeh Duck Figure

This is a large figurine made by Mottahedeh in the 20th century after a Chinese Export piece of the 18th century. It is either a duck or goose - not sure. It is nicely modeled and colorfully painted just enough to make it fun to look at. I think it is made of some sort of ceramic rather than porcelain because it is much lighter than porcelain would be. The figure is rather large being about 12 inches tall, 11 inches long and 5.5 inches wide. The piece is marked underneath with a black script saying A Mottahedeh Design Italy as shown. The duck/goose is in great condition with a chip to the back tail edge as shown. It was restored there at some point but came off again. An easy fix if need be but it displays nicely as is!
