Nice Woodcut Saucer #2

This is an early saucer made by Meissen in about 1750. It is nicely handpainted with one larger floral arrangement on one side, two large single flowers including a honeysuckle and one tiny flower with a light brown trim to the edge. The flowers are still heavily influenced by the woodcut style but already show some influence of the Deutsche Blumen style which took hold shortly after this period! The saucer is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords underneath as well as a number impressed by the foot ring. The piece is in perfect condition but there is some paint flaking to the green color - a common issue on these early pieces with the green color - not sure why! The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
