Teacaddy with Putti

This is a tea caddy made by Meissen and dating to about 1750. It is handpainted with two large scenes of putti in clouds holding floral garlands. One on the front and one on the back. Also a single putto holding floral garlands on clouds on each side. A few small flowers and a superb puce and gold scale design as the trim. The matching lid has two small putti as well as a floral knob and the same trim design. The tea caddy is in amazing condition with no wear to the scenes but it has one small chip to the lid outside rim and two small chips to the petals of the floral knob. Some old tape residue can be seen in the pictures which I cleaned off already. The tea jar is unmarked except for a faint bit of blue left on the unglazed bottom but obviously made by Meissen. It is 5 inches tall, 2.875 inches wide and 1.875 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
