Soaring Eagle Figurine

This is a nice figurine of an eagle made by Meissen in the 20th century. Nicely modeled and hand painted with the kind of detail we expect from the top maker! The wings spread wide open as if soaring through the skies but he is standing on a nice rock base with a bit of greenery to it. The detail of the wings is amazing with all the feathers painted individually. It's a stunning looking figurine! The figure is in perfect condition and is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed / incised marks and numbers of the time and a painter's number 23 as shown. The bird is 3.25 inches tall, 6.25 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
