Snow Owl Figurine

This is a really nice figurine of a snow owl made by Meissen in the late 19th or early 20th century. I think this type of owl has many names - snow owl / polar owl / arctic owl / white owl but either way is is a really nice figurine decorated in their rare under glaze colors from around 1900. It was designed by Hermann Fritz but I am not sure of the exact date this was first modeled. It is very well modeled with lots of details and hand painted perfectly. The owl is sitting on a green rock with an interesting Art Nouveau / Jugendstil design to sides. N The figure is in perfect condition! It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) as well as the model number, a painter's mark and another incised number as shown. The piece is 5.25 inches tall, 1.625 inches wide and 2.75 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
